Geothermal Piles

Structural piles can be converted to heat exchangers by adding closed loop plastic pipes attached to the reinforcing cage.  The pipes are used to circulate a fluid that transfers the ground temperature to a heat exchange in the building. In cool weather, the earths heat is collected through the pipe and used to heat the building.  In warm weather the process is reversed. The closed loop pipes have no adverse effects on the pile capacity or integrity.
