Driven Piles

Driven piles are installed by vibratory or impact methods. The piles can be made of timber, steel or precast concrete. Timber piles are typically 45-ft in length with capacities up to 40-tons. Steel piles come in a variety of shapes and sizes but pipe and H piles are most common. Reinforced precast concrete piles are commonly used for waterfront developments. Several hundred-ton capacities are common with large cross section steel or concrete piles. Driven piles are typically installed on projects where vibrations can be tolerated.
